To thy known self be true.

Dünya Baradari

I’m a transdisciplinary scientist, engineer, designer, and student of life.
Why

Dünya Baradari literally means “world brotherhood.” I see it as my mission to create connections within and between humans and the world.

This and my curiosity for science, art, and tech motivate me to build human augmentation technologies, pursuing Human-AI symbiosis.

What I do

Update: I left my graduate program at MIT and am currently working on something new.

I am a graduate student at the Fluid Interfaces group under Prof. Pattie Maes at the MIT Media Lab. My research focuses on 1) personal AI, 2) human digital twins, and 3) AI-BCI systems.

I lead and co-founded the Augmentation Lab, a transdisciplinary R&D community of philosopher-builders developing human enhancement technologies
(spanning 1000+ members).

My past projects span memory, decision-making, affect, mental health, learning, and brain-computer interfaces. I’ve also had stunts in economics, international relations, and business.

Moreover, I’m interested in
advancing science with AI,
biomimetic engineering, soft robotics, and biomaterials.
